AMBULANCE LIVERY STILL GOING STRONG ONE YEAR ON

AMBULANCE LIVERY STILL GOING STRONG ONE YEAR ON

Rennicks livery still responding well to critically ill children at Yorkhill Hospital

Categories: EMERGENCY SERVICES, VEHICLE SAFETY SOLUTIONS,

Date: 3rd November 2014

The £212k state of the art neonatal ambulance was fitted with Rennicks Nikkalite® Flexible Crystal Grade and presented to the Scottish Neonatal Transport Service (SNTS) by St John Scotland and St John Glasgow on 21st August 2013. The ambulance, which is stationed at Yorkhill Hospital, Glasgow contains some of the most advanced intensive care equipment available and gives more babies a chance of survival. The Western region of the SNTS transfers between 800 and 900 critically ill babies a year and provides cover to three other areas, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen.

Rennicks Nikkalite® Flexible Crystal Grade

Flexible Crystal Grade not only has excellent retroreflectivity properties, it also has up to a *10 year life providing confidence that the material will continue to perform throughout the life of the vehicle. The material is flexible and easy to apply around the complex curves of the ambulance and can be simply removed following de-commissioning of the vehicle.

The Results

A year later, the ambulance is still looking brand new and everyone is very pleased with the way the livery has performed in tough conditions. The neonatal ambulance is now celebrating a year in service and continues to respond effectively to the needs of critically ill babies and will continue to do so for many years to come. The ambulance livery is cleaned and maintained using the Rennicks recommended instructions which will keep the livery in good condition for the foreseeable future.
