Conformity of road traffic signs to the structural requirements of BS EN 12899-1 is the responsibility of the sign manufacturer who determines certain factors in the structural design such as substrate type and the appropriate size of extruded channel and where to position on the substrate to offer optimum support using the least number of channels to be cost effective.

Rennicks can provide you with SignLoad software which provides a Declaration of Conformity confirming the structural selections and that conformity is met. SignLoad software is approved by BSi as suitable for demonstrating conformity for CE marking applications by calculation to the structural requirements of BS EN 12899-1 for sign plates.
