Rennicks Demonstrate Innovation @ The Route to Smarter Cities 2014

Date: 10th February 2014

Rennicks are showcasing our innovative range of Nikkalite® retroreflective materials at The Route to Smarter Cities 2014 event.

The Route to Smarter Cities is a brand new one-day conference for 2014 dedicated to transport and infrastructure and their role within smart cities. The first conference of its kind to analyze how the smart city approach impacts on road infrastructure and on traffic, highways and transport departments. The Route to Smarter Cities will look at the practical challenges of delivery, appropriate technologies and the issues associated with working together with multiple stakeholders towards a smart city.

Visit our stand to see what we have to offer and gain some expert advice.

Our most recent innovation is the New Tourist Gateway Sign – this is a new and radical change to the traditional sign design process. Plymouth City Council’s new Tourist Gateway Sign, showing Smeaton’s Tower, designed with the Department for Transport’s assistance, is the first to be authorised. It combines the existing, recognisable brown tourist sign element with a full colour photo, digitally printed onto Rennicks Nikkalite® Ultralite retroreflective traffic sign sheeting.  This together with our range of solar powered active road studs demonstrates how Rennicks are supporting Smarter Cities with exciting and innovative new products.

The Route to Smarter Cities will take place at the Enterprise Centre, Derby on 20th February 2014

This conference will feature international case studies, talks from specialists within the industry as well as focusing on what local authorities are doing in their approach towards smart cities, and how traffic modelling, transport planning, highways and intelligent transport systems fits into this, so don’t miss out click here to register today.
